Shape coding, spatial scalability and many other tools are included in MPEG4 version 1. Shape coding encodes shape infomation of the object. Spatial Scalability encodes multiple resolution images. These shape coding and spatial scalability cam be used independently. Combination of these two tools will be integrated in MPEG4 version2.
