In this paper, we describe a method extracting the sentencesmisunderstood by readers because of their modification relation. Our method considers that the sentence is misunderstood if it has anumber of its modification relations. The basic rule discovers lots of solutions of modification relationof a sentence. To find natural modification relations for readers, we have brought inthe restriction about the predicate phrase and the refinement of themodification relations in noun phrase. We have applied, furthermore, our method to a writing tool and done anexperiment to evaluate it. We describe our experimental results.
