developped a prediction method for groceries in retail store. We applied it in a supermarket in order to evaluate and to adapt to our current merchandising system. We have got a sufficient result from it. There are some ten thousands of merchandises in supermarket and a huge number of daily transaction data. In addition to those, we could say that each merchandise have various kind of attributes to affect sales amount. In this reason it is so hard to forecast sales amount for each merchandise by the traditional forecasting model.
