 note = {ハードシステムの計画・設計の方法論としてシステム分析やシステム工学はかなりの成果を挙げてきた。しかし、企業組織、情報システム、社会などの人間を含むソフトなシステムに対してはこれらの方法論は必ずしも成功していない。ソフトシステム方法論　(ft　Systems　Methodology;略称S)　は、これらソフトシステムに対して、工学的アプローチの限界を打破するために英国で提唱された新しいシステム思考の一つである。本稿ではまずシステム工学とシステム分析に代表される「ハード」システム思考の特徴について述べる。次にそのアンチテーゼとしての「ソフト」システム思考であるSSMの考え方とその手順について概説し、適用例を紹介する。最後に最近のSSMの研究動向についても触れる。, Systems Analysis (SA) and Systems Engineering (SE) have contributed greately to hard systems plannning and design methodology. However these methodologies are not always success rulin therield of soft systems such as firmorganization, information system, and society which involved beings. Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) is a new soft systems thinking which is proposed in England to over come the dirficulties of hard systems approach. In this paper, reatures of hard systems thinking, such as SA and SE are firstly surveyed. Then the idea sand proceduresof SSM, an Antitese of the above, are discussed. Some application and recent study of SSM are also described.},
