Recently, a robotic interface attracts people's attention as an intermediary between complicated information home appliance and its user. The user wants to operate the appliances by voice. There are two problems. The one is that the voice recognition is difficult especially at home and by inexperienced users. The other is that the voice instructions are decided beforehand. We think if the robot acts like an infant, these problems are solved. The user will accept recognition error by the robot. And the user will be able to teach the user-defined instructions, naturally. Based on this idea, we innovate infant’s familiar behaviors to the robotic interface.
