IDPS system elements find their roles autonomously, in order to complete objectives given to the system. This paper describes IDPS's distributed managing algorithms for concurrency control mechanisms and fault-tolerant mechanisms. The concurrency control mechanism realizes distributed deadlock avoidance and deadlock detection. The fault-tolerant mechanisms are realized by the fail-stop broadcast communication protocol and first-N-come method for accomplishing fail-stop objects.
