The protocol is the automatic repeat request (ARQ) of the selective repeat (SR) scheme and uses the collisions. By detecting the collision of the confirmation transmitting the data frame and the repeat requests, the transmitter station retransmits. Our analytical models show that this protocol performs considerably better than the other protocols, paticularly in environments with a large number of receivers.
