 note = {我々はDIMMスロット搭載型ネットワークインタフェースDIMMnet-1を開発中である。DIMMnet-1は低遅延通信用にAOTF、高バンド幅通信用のにBOTFという送信機構を装備している。これらにより、通信遅延時間270ns、同時送受信バンド幅が各方向1022MB/sを実現し、ともに従来の10倍程度の性能向上が得られることを示す。さらにDIMMnetをDDR-DIMMに対応させることによって、同時送受信バンド幅を各方向1882MB/sにまで改善することを示す。, A high performance network interface architecture for PC clusters in order to overcome the limitation of PCI bus and communication overhead is presented. We propose a network interface plugged into a DIMM slot with AOtf and BOTF sending mechanisms. A prototype called DIMMnet-1 and its implementation are also presented. DIMMnet-1's one way short message latency based on cycle acculate simulator is only 270ns. ITs simultaneous sending and receiving bandwidth evaluated by measuring data copying performance on 1GHz Pentium3 based PC is 1022MB/s for each dirrections. The effect of supporting DDR slot on the future DIMMnet is evaluated on Athlon 1.33GHz based PC. The result shows 1882MB/s for each dirrections can be realized.},
