The i80286 has built-in memory protection that supports operating system and task isolation as well as program and data privacy within tasks. In this report, the attention is mainly focused on the virtual memory management of the i80286 and the HPPCS is then realized as follows. That is, the overflow from the physical memory, which used to be assigned to the secondary memory, is mapped onto the memory space of each processor. Furthermore, each processor, which we call a processor module, has identical kernel and local operating system.
