In this study, we first examined whether there were differences in speech speed among participants. We then investigated how speech speed harmonization impacts the ease of speaking and the progress of discussions. Regarding speech speed harmonization, it is known that utilizing pacing facilitates smoother communication in dyadic interactions. This study applied these techniques to multi-person meetings, hypothesizing that encouraging speech speed harmonization among participants could align the pace of discussions, create an environment conducive to speaking, and lead to deeper discussions.
