• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: スマートフォンは，健常者だけでなく視覚障害者にとっても不可欠なツールとなりつつある．スマートフォンは，インターネットを利用した情報収集，メールやソーシャルメディアを介したコミュニケーション，ナビゲーション，およびチケット購入などの公共サービスなどに利用されている．視覚障害者がスマートフォンの使用に慣れることにより，日常生活を支える強力なツールとなりうる．しかし，視覚障害者にとってスマートフォン操作の習得は容易ではなく，特に文字入力やタップといった基本操作に困難を感じることが多い．その結果，スマートフォンの使用を断念するケースも少なくない．そこで，本研究では，視覚障害者がスマートフォンをより効率的に操作できるよう支援するアプリの開発を行う．視覚障害者の多くは iOS を使用しており，iOS 上のスクリーンリーダーである Voice Over 機能を使用していることが多い．VoiceOver は，目が見えない方でも端末上で起きている事（操作など）を読み上げてくれる機能である．しかし，健常者のスマートフォン操作とは異なり，視覚に頼らず操作する必要があるため，操作に慣れるには訓練が必要である．特に文字入力の際は特殊なトグル入力を用いる点から，これを使いこなすためには特定の練習が必要である．そこで，タイピングなどを含むスマートフォン操作の練習ができるアプリを開発し，視覚障害者がより自立してスマートフォンを使用できるように支援することを目指す．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: Smartphones are becoming indispensable tools not only for people without disabilities but also for those with visual impairments. They are used not only for information retrieval from the internet but also for communication through email and social media, navigation, and various public services and transactions such as ticket purchasing. Once they become more familiar with using smartphones, visually impaired individuals can find them to be powerful tools for supporting their daily lives. However, it is not easy for visual impaired people to become proficient in using smartphones. In particular, many visually impaired individuals struggle with basic operations such as text input and tapping, often leading them to abandon using smartphones altogether. To address this issue, this study focuses on the development of an application designed to assist visually impaired individuals in operating smartphones more efficiently. A significant number of visually impaired users rely on iOS devices and frequently use the VoiceOver feature, the built-in screen reader on iOS. VoiceOver enables users to navigate and interact with their devices by reading out on-screen actions and content, making it accessible for individuals who cannot perceive visual information. However, operating smartphones without visual input requires a unique set of skills and practices, differing significantly from how sighted users interact with their devices. One of the most challenging aspects is text input, which requires mastering a specialized toggle input method. This necessitates targeted training to become proficient. To address this, the proposed application provides practice exercises, including typing and other essential smartphone operations, aimed at empowering visually impaired individuals to use smartphones more independently and confidently.
