3 自由度モーションベースを用いた遠隔操縦システムでは，360 度 4K カメラを用いて映像配信を行っている．このシステムでは常時 360 度の映像を撮影し HMD に伝送しているが，実際に操縦者が HMD で見ている映像は 360 度映像のうち 110 度程度しかなく，映像の一部を切り取るため解像度が落ちてしまう．また，操縦者が見ていない方向まで映像を転送するため，帯域を多く消費してしまう．そこで本研究では，カメラ自体が上下左右に可動する PTZ（パン，チルト，ズーム）カメラを用いた配信で，これらの欠点の克服を目指した．HMD を装着した操縦者が向いている方向にリアルタイムで PTZ image quality and low latency are important issues in remote control of heavy machinery. In the remote control system developed by the authors using a 3-DOF motion base, a 360-degree 4K camera is used for video distribution. In this configuration, 360-degree images are constantly captured and transmitted to the HMD. However, the HMD actually sees only 110 degrees of the 360-degree images, and the resolution is not very high. Another disadvantage is that it consumes a lot of bandwidth because it transmits images in directions that the pilot is not looking at.
