Existing research has shown that exhibits that make use of AR can improve learning outcomes and enhance parent-child cooperation. In this study, we used an AR app at the Fukuoka City Science Museum and collected conversation and interview data from elementary school students and their parents, and then conducted a thematic analysis. As a result, we confirmed that those who used the app tended to engage in more “explanatory” behavior, while those who did not use the app tended to engage in more “exploratory” behavior.
