with visual impairments may find it difficult to visually recognize cues such as tempo and beats expressed by the conductor's hand movements, making it challenging to ensemble during performances. In this study, we propose an approach to present conductor's movements to the target musicians using an array of vibro-tactile actuators. Specifically we utilize tactile apparent movement to convey the conductor's motion to musicians with visual impairments. We created a prototype, and conducted a proof of concept experiment using the response time between the correct beat timing and the predicted beat timing to confirme the validity of the proposed method. In addition, we co-designed a user-oriented tactile device through workshops with visually impaired performers. Furthermore, we evaluated the tactile device through actual performances.
