In particular, technologies for nondestructive and non-contact extraction of characters from materials that are difficult to unfold have been attracting attention. In this study, we conducted an experiment to extract inked characters on Japanese paper using X-ray CT at SPring-8. Unlike previous studies, Japanese ink is composed of plant-derived carbon, which is difficult to separate by X-ray absorption coefficient alone. However, since preliminary experiments were successful, we attempted to extract the characters using a high-resolution device. As a result, it was confirmed that characters can be extracted using the density difference caused by the penetration of ink into the fibers of Japanese paper. In the future, we will examine character extraction from laminated documents and the use of new image processing methods in combination.}, pages = {323--328}, publisher = {情報処理学会}, title = {X線CTを用いた非破壊観察による積層した和紙の分離と紙上の墨による文字の可視化}, volume = {2024}, year = {2024} }
