To present the continuity of the Kosode pattern and the swaying of the sleeves in an easy-to-understand manner, a 3DCG of Kosode was created as if it were hung on a kimono rack, and cloth simulation was applied to reproduce the natural movements of the sleeves. The system also allows the user to switch Kosode patterns and viewpoints with gestures. To provide the experience of “wearing” the Kosode, the users posture acquired by sensors is assigned to the Kosode’s CG, so that its 3D image moves in synchrony with the users movements. In the museum exhibition, the system was positioned together with the actual Kosode and operated without support. To achieve this, we constructed an exhibition design that allows visitors to view the system proactively through installed explanations of how to operate it, using panels, and videos. The evaluation results by users confirm that the system can be operated by the user without external assistance and that it also provides the sensation of “wearing” a Kosode.},
