Replacing the traditional gateway architecture, domain architecture and zone architecture centered around high-performance computing are advancing, necessitating a reconsideration of security architecture. This paper reviews the challenges and countermeasures when applying the classical yet continuously evolving Multiple Independent Levels of Security (MILS) architecture and the latest Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA). We propose a new security architecture for vehicle systems, particularly Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), by integrating both approaches.
