年に発行された最新の映像符号化国際標準規格である Versatile Video Coding (VVC) は従来の HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) と比較して主観評価にて約 2 倍の高い圧縮率を実現する一方,エンコード処理時間が大幅に増加している.本稿では,画像の特徴量を利用した VVC のブロック分割決定手法により,エンコード処理時間を短縮する手法を提案する.提案手法は,BDBR の劣化を抑制しつつ,VVC におけるリファレンスソフトウェアに対し,2K では平均 59.45%,4K では平均 66.44% traffic due to the spread of video streaming services and other services, video coding technology is becoming increasingly important. The latest international video coding standard, Versatile Video Coding (VVC) published in 2020, achieves approximately twice as high compression ratio as the conventional HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding), while significantly increasing the encoding processing time. This paper proposes a block partitioning decision method based on video features for VVC to reduce the encoding time.
