内容記述 This paper presents advancements to Serval, a high-performance shared-memory, multi-version deterministic concurrency control protocol with three key innovations: Batch Bitmap Update (BBU), Reference Counter, and Non-visible Write Rule (NWR) Application. Batch Bitmap Update enables simultaneous bitmap updates across cores, similar to Caracal's batch append, but with better concurrency and reduced overhead. The Reference Counter analyzes the number of read operations during the initialization phase for applying NWR to eliminate unnecessary append of pending versions produced by blind write. These enhancements ensure Serval maintains lock-free and no-remote write conditions during initialization while significantly improving performance under write-intensive workloads and minimizing redundant data operations.
