• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 本研究は大規模言語モデルと人間の意思疎通に焦点を当て，理論的枠組みとして「不気味の輪」を定義し，主流の議論とは異なる新たな視点を提示する．人間は，自分に近い表現をするものに対してより深く意思疏通する．人間同士は意思疎通ができるが，犬などの社交的動物，動物，生物，物質，とカテゴリが広がるにつれ，直線的に意思疎通は困難になる．しかし，大規模言語モデルの出現により，最も遠いはずの物質と人間との間に，意思疎通が可能であるかのような線が直接結ばれ，円環構造を形成することになった．この構造を「不気味の輪」と定義する．不気味の輪の不気味さは，大規模言語モデルが意思疎通できているかのような応答をするという，対象に対する違和感だけではなく，意思疎通のプロセスによって人間自体を変化させていくところにある．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: This study focuses on large-scale language models and human communication, defining the “Uncanny Circle” as a theoretical framework that presents a new perspective, differing from mainstream discussions. Humans communicate more deeply with entities that express themselves in a similar way to humans. While humans can easily communicate with each other, as the categories expand to include social animals like dogs, other animals, living things, and inanimate objects, communication becomes linearly more difficult. However, with the advent of large-scale language models, a different kind of connection has been established between humans and inanimate objects, which should be the furthest apart, forming a circular structure. This structure is defined as the “Uncanny Circle”. The eeriness of the “Uncanny Circle” is not only in the discomfort we feel towards the large-scale language models that seem to communicate as if they were human, but also in the way the process of communication changes humans themselves.
