First, at a logistics facility, picking operations that sort the required number of products based on shipping instructions are measured for one month to obtain work data and operations data. Next, the operations after the introduction of the machines for conveyance are modeled. Using the model and the work data and the operations data, the effect of introducing conveyance machines is estimated in advance. It is shown that the mechanization reduces work time by about 6%.
