To solve this problem, multi-home network have been researched and developed. Multi-homed networks can improve load balancing and reliability by using multiple network interfaces and connecting to the Internet through multiple paths. Since TCP does not support multi-homed network, it is necessary to use MPTCP, an extension of TCP, to take advantage of multi-homed network. However, MPTCP also falls back to TCP communication when it is not installed on both communicating terminals. Therefore, in the previous study, a VPN server was installed between the client and the server, and a network using MPTCP between the client and the VPN server was proposed. One of the problems that can occur in a multi-homed environment using VPN is the HOL blocking problem. In this paper, we confirm HOL blocking and propose bicast a method to mitigate HOL blocking. Comparative experiments in a virtual environment confirmed that HOL blocking occurs on multi-homed environment with VPN.
