In Ishikawa Prefecture, there is a lot of traffic on National Route 8, and the Kanazawa Seaside Loop Line was opened in November 2022 with the aim of alleviating traffic congestion. However, traffic congestion still occurs on National Route 8, and it is not clear whether the new road is influencing alleviating traffic congestion. In this report, we analyze traffic volume data using traffic data and intersection control data, reproduce the current situation using the simulation software SUMO, devise congestion mitigation means, and evaluate them through simulation.
