内容記述 In the domain of System-on-Chip (SoC) for embedded systems, the trend of integrating various applications into high-performance embedded systems is becoming increasingly apparent, driven by improvements in performance and the elevation of functional requirements. This paper focuses on the challenges of resource allocation within these systems, addressing them through the use of bandwidth control mechanisms. Specifically, a hierarchical token bucket (HTB) and cgroup bandwidth control are employed to restrict the bandwidth of UDP data packets, facilitating the classification and prioritization of applications within the system. Furthermore, we use extended Berkeley Packet Filter (eBPF) to measure latency of these restrictive approaches and evaluate these real-time performance. By measuring the latency of applications in both of user space and kernel space including network stacks (UDP, IP, device), this study aims to determine the maximum latency of sending data packets by applications. The analysis of latency distribution and maximum latency generated by applications reveals the impact of bandwidth shaping mechanisms on the performance of the network stack. Finally, future works for improving real-time performance are planned based on the measured results.
