• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: 日本語は世界の中でも難しい言語とされている．昨今では多くの日本語平易化システムが存在するが，ユーザが難しい日本語の文章を入力する必要があるため，使いやすさに欠ける．本研究では，OCR を用いて文章を読み取り，平易化する Web アプリケーションを開発する．評価は豊田高専の留学生 6 人に協力してもらい，何も使用しない方法，既存システムを使用する方法，提案するアプリケーションを使用する方法のそれぞれで，日本語能力検定の読解力テストを実施する．評価結果から，提案アプリケーションを使用することで，難しい文章の内容理解の上昇が見られたが，解答に要する時間は長くなった．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: Japanese language is one of the most complex languages in the world. Although some plain language translation systems exist in recent years, these systems need more usability because they require users to input complex Japanese sentences. We develop a web application for plain language translation using OCR for input sentences. In the evaluation, we conduct a reading comprehension test from the Japanese Language Proficiency Test for six international students at our college. The students use three methods: the proposed application, the existing system, and not using anything. The results show that the proposed application increases understanding comprehension; however, it requires more time to answer.
