It is expected to be used in large-scale networks and for disaster prevention message distribution in times of disaster. In such networks, it is necessary to consider the load distribution of clients to the Broker and its power consumption. We had proposed a mechanism to distribute the Broker load according to the Broker’s load status. However, we had not considered the power consumption of the Broker. Therefore, in this study, we propose and compare several new MQTT client allocation methods based on power consumption, while following the conventional load balancing method using the Server Redirection function.
