This is mainly due to the difficulty in selecting a topic of conversation. To solve this problem, a variety of topic recommendation systems have been proposed. However, they have not considered the situation where two people who have never met before and do not intend to have a conversation talk with each other in a place where they feel distance pressure. To support such communications by the strangers, in this study, we focused not on the content of the topic but on the method of providing the topic, and tried to support conversation by a robot that interrupts a conversation between people and provides the topic in a timid manner, referring to the research on “weak robots”.
