The AI Bill has sparked opposition from major EU member states such as Germany and France regarding the regulation of generative AI, including prominent offerings like ChatGPT from American companies, which has been available since around November 2022. This opposition has made reaching a consensus challenging. In the future, the European Parliament and the European Council are expected to formally adopt the AI Bill, but there is a possibility of further changes.
