The Biden Administration has released several documents related to artificial intelligence, beginning with the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy's \"Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights\" on October 4, 2022, and continuing with the release of several AI policy documents in 2023. The Presidential Directive discussed in this paper can be positioned as part of such policy documents.
