However, this swift transition has left the academic community unable to provide a clear definition of the metaverse, resulting in its information infrastructure being predominantly supported by preexisting hardware and software. This lecture discusses the defining elements of the metaverse-embodiment, spatiality, and experientiality-and proposes the construction of a metaverse information infrastructure that incorporates these elements from both hardware and software perspectives.
