This research develops image search system to find the useful image data from the database of MODIS(new earth observing system in Terra satellite launched by NASA) data which set up in Tokyo University of Information Sciences as part of Academic Frontier project. For image search algorithm of this system, we use Genetic Algorithms (GA) which is one of the probabilistic search technique and evaluate the adaptability of GA for searching the image data. Furthermore, we research speedup of search time using GA in parallel distributed computing environment by cluster PC.},
