When the execution time of a program doesn't become longer even if an instruction of the program is delayed by s cycles, the maximum of s is referred to as the slack of the instruction. The slack value is stored to the prediction table to be a predicted value for the next time. This paper describes instruction steering of clustered processor with slack prediction. The cluster that a instruction will use at the next time is decided by the slack value given after the execution of the instruction.
