This unintended interruption of speech causes discomfort to the interrupted speaker. In this study, we propose a system to prevent interruptions during speech with the aim of reducing discomfort caused by interruptions during speech. We believe that interruptions occur because it is difficult to distinguish between "pauses" that exist during speech and "pauses" after the end of speech. We propose a method using (1) verbal cues, (2) a proprietary device, and (3) a shared device to clarify the "pause" during speech.
