Control Simulation Experiment (CSE) がある．CSE は気象理論分野におけるベンチマークモデルである Lorenz-63 に対してアンサンブル予測を用いた制御手法を提案し評価する枠組みである．CSE においては Lorenz-63 の制御が諸パラメータが特定の値をとる場合に実現されている．しかしながら CSE における制御方策は発見的かつ比較的単純であり，適切な制御入力を見出す能力は必ずしも高くないと考えられる．そこで本研究では，CSE における制御方策の制御入力探索性能を，モデル予測制御とよばれる制御理論分野における標準的な手法との比較を通じて評価する．評価の結果，モデル予測制御により制御が可能である複数のシナリオにおいて，CSE による制御方策は有効ではないことを見出した．このことは，CSE Experiment (CSE) is an attempt to develop weather control methods in the field of weather theory. The control strategies proposed in CSE realize the control of Lorenz-63, a benchmark model in the field of weather theory, for specific parameter values. In this study, we evaluate the control input search performance of control strategies in CSE by comparing it with a standard method in the field of control theory called Model Predictive Control (MPC). As a result, we found that CSE control strategies are not effective in several scenarios that can be controlled by MPC.
