The efficacy of Deep Joint Source-Channel Coding and Modulation (JSCCM) has been substantiated across a variety of scenarios including underwater acoustic transmission. Extant literature evidences that a Deep JSCCM employing self-attention mechanisms outperforms conventional methodologies. This study delineates a novel Deep JSCCM design optimized through hardware-aware neural architecture search, and explicates its implementation on a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). This project is currently in progress, with comprehensive results to be presented in future publications. |
