| 内容記述 | セキュリティ分野では情報発信やユーザの協力が重要とされており，この情報発信の際，ユーザの理解補助等のためにアイコンが補助的に活用される場合がある．そこで本研究では，セキュリティ分野で利用されているアイコンの実態を把握するべく，現状調査とアンケート調査を実施した．現状調査では，日本国内の公的組織等のWebサイトや資料から1,146 個の当該分野のアイコンを抽出し，ラベルを付与した．これらのアイコンを分析し，一つの用語に対して複数の異なるアイコンが割り当てられている現状や一貫性の欠如が理解の妨げとなっている可能性を示した．また，434名の協力者を対象としたアンケートでは，現状調査で抽出したアイコンの意味等を質問し，その解答にはばらつきがあることや共通認識の形成には至っていない可能性を明らかにした．加えて，異なるアイコンに同一の意味が割り当てられている場合，ユーザの知識や自認に依らず，混乱を招くことを示した．これらの結果から，ユーザへの認知的負荷低減のためセキュリティ用語とアイコンを定義するガイドラインの作成を提言としてまとめた．本研究の結果が今後のセキュリティアイコン活用やそれに係る教育・情報発信の一助となることを期待する． | |||||||||

| 内容記述 | In the security field, information dissemination and user cooperation are important and icons are used to help users understand the information. In this study, as a survey of icons used in the security field, we conducted a trend analysis of icons used in the field and a questionnaire survey. In a preliminary survey,1,146 icons in this field were extracted from websites and documents of administrative agencies in Japan. These icons were analyzed to identify trends, such as the most frequently used icon being that of an attacker. Through the survey, we found that users are aware that they are not confused when the same icon means different security terms, but in fact they are confused. Based on these results, we recommend the creation of guidelines to define security terms and icons to reduce the cognitive burden on users. We believe that the results of this study will contribute to the future use of security icons. | |||||||||
