The authors are introducing software product line methodology to reduce the cost and time required to develop control software for these derivative products. In this paper, the authors present a toolchain constructed to automate application engineering as a part of the introduction activities. This toolchain adds traceability matrices to various development documents written in Microsoft Excel based on feature models constructed with a free mindmap drawing tool.
