• 論文抄録 / 内容記述: トランスポートプロトコルとして QUIC が注目され，その仕様の策定が IETF などで活発に行われている．そして，QUIC は UDP を用いており，トランスポートプロトコルの役割の一部である確認応答や再送などの制御はユーザランドで実装されることが多い．そのため，ユーザランドよりも処理が高速なカーネルでプロトコルスタックが実装されている従前のTCPよりも，スループットの観点からは，条件によってはQUIC が劣っている可能性もある．そこで，本稿では，QUIC と TCP についてスループットの観点から実際の実装により比較し，その差異の有無や要因について考察する．

• 論文抄録(英) / 内容記述: QUIC has attracted attention as a new transport protocol, and its specification has been actively discussed in IETF. QUIC runs over UDP, and control of acknowledgement and retransmission, which are part of the role of the transport protocol, are usually implemented in userland. From the point of view of throughput, QUIC may be inferior in some cases to traditional TCP whose protocol stack is implemented in kernel, and may run faster than the protocol in UDP. This paper will compare QUIC with TCP regarding throughput with actual implementation. In addition, this paper will try to reveal their differences, and consider their causes.
