The distal part receives non-spatial information such as smell, the middle part receives spatial information, and the proximal part receives endogenous information. We have focused on the distal and intermediate regions and verified their response characteristics through physiological and simulation experiments. The results showed that the distal input enhances the middle input and may play a filtering function. In this study, we newly investigated the response characteristics of the proximal dendrite.
