This study aims to realize an ambient display that expresses the statuses and the condition of teleworkers using plants as metaphors, and proposes a plant-imitated display using 3 modalities: color (leaf color), motion (swaying), and shape (bending of leaves and stems). We developed a plant-like device that can control a full-color LED, a servo motor, and a silicon tube through which BioMetal was threaded. As an evaluation experiment, we verified whether the participants could correctly recognize the patterns of each modality required to express the plant emotion models proposed in the previous study. In addition, we investigated the parameters of movement that would allow accurate recognition of the patterns of plant emotion models. |
