that utilize region-specific data collected by onboard vehicle sensors have been attracting attention. In these studies, vehicles and edge servers collaborate to perform federated learning; however, they do not consider the issue of learning results not being reflected when a vehicle moves out of the server’s communication range during learning. Furthermore, the server sets a timeout for aggregating learning models, resulting in time overhead for the learning process. To address these issues, we propose a method that transmits the learning model to the server, even if incomplete, before the vehicle moves out of the edge server’s communication range.
