On the other hand, there is also “sludge,” which exploits the idea of behavioral economics, and “dark patterns,” which aim to benefit the service provider by inducing users to make decisions that are disadvantageous to themselves, unconsciously. In this paper, I first look at the concept of behavior change and unethical design, respectively.
