Our method can significantly reduce the number of motion vectors (MVs) based on the facts that there are some duplicated vertices in the reconstructed decimated meshes and the MVs of those duplicated vertices are exactly the same in most cases. Therefore, we improve the coding performance of those duplicated vertices with the same MVs by integrating the duplicated vertices.
