A realistic evacuation simulation requires enough amount of data on evacuation behavior by executing continuous evacuation trainings with various conditions and flood patterns. However, it has been difficult to collect the behavioral data with various conditions and flood patterns because the existing methods for data collection are based on an actual evacuation training on a training site, so conditions and flood patterns in the actual evacuation training can not be changed during training. In this paper, we propose an online evacuation behavior data collection and analysis system using virtual reality (VR) with sufficient realism and execution speed for data collection on the purpose of continuous collection of evacuation behavior data. The system visualizes the results of flood simulations conducted by ARIA, an open system platform for disaster simulation and emulation, using VR to provide an evacuation training environment in a virtual space during a flood. By changing the input locations and flooding conditions, trainees can experience evacuation trainings in various locations and situations. In order to evaluate the practicality of our suggested system, we demonstrated a VR evacuation training at an exhibition (Interop Tokyo 2022), and a questionnaire survey on the realism of evacuation trainings using VR showed that floods in a virtual space are effective for flood evacuation trainings.
