This paper proposes a method to control AR glasses. Hand gesture recognition has many advantages in controlling devices, especially wearable devices. For making use of these advantages, our method uses 3D sensor to recognize hand gesture and by doing so, we can control applications running on Windows operating system, which users can see through AR glasses. Also, in order to make our method more acceptable, the operation method we proposed is as similar as possible to real touchpad's operation method. Our method has six states when it is controlling the mouse cursor: No operation, left click, right click, move, scroll and enlarge. Because virtual touchpad cannot feedback by real touch, we use icons to feedback. From the result of testing and feedback, we confirm that our method is easy to be accepted by users. And it proved that our method is a good way to control AR glasses. |
