内容記述 360-degree video is a main content type in Virtual Reality, providing users with immersive viewing experience. However, streaming 360-degree videos to Virtual Reality headsets is a very challenging task. In this paper, we present a novel 360-degree video streaming architecture, which can provide not only high user viewing experience but also system reliability. The proposed system leverages available network resources of nearby devices to improve user Quality of Experience (QoE). For that, we utilize layered video coding and propose a novel video buffering algorithm. Then, we formulate cooperative streaming problem and introduce an online algorithm for tile layer selection and scheduling. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in improving the user QoE compared to state-of-the-art solutions.
