 note = {次世代の計算機環境の研究の基盤となる，分散型マルチメディアプラットフォームDEMPO　IIを開発した．以前開発したDEMPOにはネットワーク管理システム，3次元的な画面を持つデスクトップ，雑談機能付き電子会議，マルチメディアデータベースの機能があったが，DEMPO　IIはその1年間の使用経験をもとに，3次元的な画面を持つデスクトップとマルチメディアデータベースの統合，ネットワークを用いたサービス機能，多人数対応の電子会議の付加等を行った．本稿では，システムの特徴とその実現方法について述べる．, The distributed multimedia platform 'DEMPO II', which will be important for studying next generation of computers environment, has been developed. 'DEMPO' was consisted of network manager, 3-D screen software management software, electronic meeting system admitting chats, and multimedia database. Based on the results of one year experiment, we have developed 'DEMPO II'. 'DEMPO II' has integrated 3-D screen software management software and multimedia database, and added the service functions using network and electronic meeting for many people. We report features of this system and their implementation methods in this paper.},
