2022 年 7 月，英国政府は，欧州連合を離脱してから最初の，UK GDPR への大きな改正を含む法案である，データ保護及びデジタル情報法案（Data Protection and Digital Information Bill）を国会に提出した．同法案は，個人データの定義，透明性確保義務，越境移転，サイバーセキュリティ，正当な利益，アクセス権対応，自動化された意思決定などの項目への改正を含み，欧州デジタルサービス法やデータ法類似のパブリックアクセスに関する規定や，e プライバシー規則案類似の cookie 規制を含む．本発表では，データ保護及びデジタル情報法案の現状を分析し，日本法への示唆を得る． |

In July 2022, the UK government introduced to Parliament the Data Protection and Digital Information Bill, the first bill containing major amendments to the UK GDPR since leaving the European Union. The bill includes amendments to the definition of personal data, transparency obligations, cross-border transfers, cybersecurity, legitimate interests, right of access compliance, automated decision-making, and other items, including public access provisions similar to the European Digital Services Act and Data Act, and cookie regulations similar to the proposed ePrivacy Regulation. This presentation will analyze the current status of data protection and digital information bill and provide suggestions for Japanese law. |
