The body movements during the test were measured using a general-purpose infrared depth sensor, and the characteristics of the movement patterns at the head and knee joint coordinates were analyzed. The results indicate that the dependent-living group requiring long-term care took fewer steps per second than the independent-living group showing that their upper body fluctuated more greatly concerning the lower body.
