2 gap between theory and practice has been pointed out as an issue in the field of learning science. We have provided a learning environment for care practitioners to learn medical diagnostic knowledge, which is to analyze the condition of cognitive disorder and explore for possible factors that can improve the condition, and confirmed the effectiveness of the learning. In this study, we designed two types of learning activities to the conventional learning sessions: “simulation of practical situations based on the theory of assessment” and “confirmation of the theory through reflection on past experiences (practical situations)“. We analyzed the relationship between the content of these descriptions and changes in the performance of diagnostic skill.
